Wondering the WHY’S of how ROSA’s branding is so Brew-tiful……it’s all in the details, my friend 🪴 First off, let’s talk typeface. The goal? To give off that earthy, natural vibe that says “we’re all about plants and coffee, but we’re also not afraid to stand out.” Now, take a closer look at that ‘O’ in ROSA 👀—it’s not just a circle. Nope. That’s a coffee bean with a sprout inside it, a little visual nod to ROSA’s unique blend of selling plants and coffee. Because why should you have to choose between nurturing your plant babies or fueling your caffeine addiction? ☺️ As for the colors, I opted for a warm burnt orange and an off-white as the primary palette. Why? These earthy tones make the lush greenery in-store really pop, putting the plants front and center as the heroes of the space 🌿. Plus, when that deep green pops in when the plants aren’t around it’s like the perfect brew. Oh, and wait until you see the cheeky stickers and illustrations I whipped up! Play Fair brand colours, imagery and overall feel is threaded thought the entire visual identity I created to ensure consistency, brand recognition and ease of use for the client to continue to utilise and understand how to use all the assets provided. You can design the greatest logo, match the perfect fonts and pick the most amazing colours but if you don’t explain to the client how to use all these assets as a whole the visual identity will quickly become muddy and soon be lost. For the Primary ‘Play Fair’ logo the client wanted to incorporate movement, “like a tennis ball being hit through the air”. So that’s what we ran with. The font used is called Anisette and by simply rounding the edges it instantly gives the circular, soft looking roundness of a tennis ball.
